HOW IDEAS TAKE SHAPE / CAPABILITY

Venture Laboratory

Turn an examined idea into a resourced, measurable pilot.

The Venture Laboratory examines viability and builds the capability needed to execute. Its focus is on purpose, stakeholders, resources, milestones and learning. A successful first cycle produces a justified next decision; it need not produce a commercial launch.

THE WORK

A defined role.
Useful outputs.

  1. Define the customer need, venture purpose and intended stakeholder contribution.
  2. Assess resources, geography, dependencies and delivery risks.
  3. Develop a pilot scope, resource plan, budget assumptions and milestones.
  4. Run a bounded test where authorised and prepare an accountable handover.

What starts the work

The research brief, reviewed concept, available skills and resources, proposed governance, budget boundaries and the authority to begin a pilot.

PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK

Explore the first 100 days.

Move through a discovery-to-pilot cycle to see how all three institutions contribute. The work overlaps: evidence, governance and execution are reviewed together throughout the cycle.

Illustrative timetable, subject to scope, evidence, funding and approvals. A 100-day cycle can end with a feasibility decision or a bounded pilot; it does not imply construction, regulatory approval, investment or commercial launch.

MAKE THE PROCESS CONCRETE

Follow a project question.

These are illustrative exercises for understanding the framework, rather than reports of completed work.

AT EVERY REVIEW GATE

A decision, supported by evidence.

A milestone is a point to judge what has been learned and whether the next commitment is justified. Record the decision, its reasons, the responsible person and the evidence needed for another review.

Amnaya’s institutional roles draw on its historical presentations. The 100-day structure and examples are proposed explanatory content. Rocket Internet’s published incubation and operational-support model informed the comparison; this is not a Rocket Internet programme or an affiliation. Its current official website does not establish a universal 100-day launch commitment. Reference: Rocket Internet ↗
